Nick Samwell-Smith - Founder
Nick spent twenty years at Initial, Endemol UK, as Producer, Executive Producer, Creative Director, and then Managing Director. Specialising in Entertainment, Factual Entertainment, Reality and Live Events, he oversaw some of the biggest shows on UK television.
These include Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother (he ran the franchise for 15 seasons from 2011 onwards), Soccer Aid (which he co-created with Robbie Williams and Executive Produced for ITV for a decade), Total Wipeout (which he brought from ABC in the US to the BBC, via Buenos Aires), Stars In Their Eyes (ITV), Tenable (a long-running quiz show for ITV), The Match (which he co-created for SKY), Fame Academy (BBC), Dating in the Dark (Living), The Almost Impossible Game Show (ITV and MTV US), Coleen’s Real Women (which he co-created for ITV2), The Singer Takes It All (Channel 4), The Whole 19 Yards (ITV and US syndication), Safari School and Only Fools on Horses (both of which he created for the BBC) and many more.
